Nowadays we have UHSS Boron, HSS TRIP, DP, Bake Hardened, ZstE, Mild steel and so on. These have different coatings like zinc, galvanised, bonazinc, aluzinc etc. When you think there are hundreds of combinations of steels and protective coatings, your operator has a difficult job deciding the correct setting for the spot welder.

• In some cases it costs money to find out the information

Repairing cars has become some much more complicated. In the past it was simple a case of pressing a button and the job was done. Now it is vital to have the correct amp, clamping force, time and to know how many pulses are needed?

You won't find this information in any manual or instruction leaflet. It may be available on the web, but where do you start looking.

As time is of the essence and time costs money, by using the InvertaSpot GT with the MATERIAL TEST you can start the job immediately, saving time and saving money.

Simply choose the thickness of the steel and press the gun trigger, the result will be shown on the screen. Carry out for the remaining two or three thicknesses and when the last thickness is completed the welder will automatically set to the correct settings to enable the weld to be carried out. Time, amps, force and pulses are all set automatically. No problems, No fuss!

Every weld finished perfectly and the printout on A4 will prove the results. Clip this to the job card for reference if it is ever needed.
